Lithospermum, known as “λιθόσπερμα” or “stone-seed,” belongs to the Boraginaceae family. It is a herbaceous plant with characteristic elongated leaves and small flowers in various shades of blue or purple. Its name comes from its hard, stone-like seeds.

Indications for use

Nephrolithiasis and urolithiasis (prevention and support in the dissolution of small stones).

Hyperthyroidism or overactive thyroid (as adjunctive therapy under medical supervision).

Chronic inflammations of the urinary tract (e.g. cystitis, urethritis).

Menstrual disorders, especially when related to overactivity of the hormonal axis.

Mild thyroid hypertrophy (goiter).
How to use
10–20 drops, diluted in a little water or herbal tea, 1–2 times a day.
Precautions side effects
- To be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Overdose may cause nausea or stomach irritation.
- Interactions with thyroid medications.
- Do not use without the advice of a healthcare professional.
