Lycopodium clavatum is a plant of the Lycopodiaceae family. It grows mainly in forests, with unbranched stems and small, dense leaves. It produces microscopic spores that are used for medicinal purposes.

Pharmacological properties and actions:

It has a mild diuretic effect, useful in fluid retention or urolithiasis.

Indications for use:

Digestive system: Indigestion, flatulence (bloating), gas, slow digestion, feeling of heaviness after meals.

Liver – Gallbladder: Disorders of liver and biliary function, gallstones. Often recommended in cases of fatty liver.

Urinary system: Difficulty urinating, kidney stones or gravel.

Skin – Hair: Eczema, chronic dermatosis, hair loss.

General: Feeling of fatigue, reduced endurance, exhaustion.

Emotional – Psychological field: Useful for people with irritability, low self-confidence, anxiety that worsens under pressure.
Directions for use:
10–15 drops diluted in water or herbal tea, 1–2 times a day.
Precautions and side effects:
- Side effects: May cause mild allergic reactions or gastrointestinal discomfort, such as nausea or vomiting.
- Drug interactions: It may interact with medications that affect the liver or the respiratory system.
- Unsuitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women: Not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.
- Anaphylaxis: In rare cases, it may cause anaphylactic reactions.
