Melilotus officinalis (or Melilotus alba) is a perennial plant of the Fabaceae family. Its height can reach 1–1.5 meters. Its leaves are trifoliate with a toothed margin. Its flowers are small, yellow or white, and appear in long inflorescences. The plant blooms in summer and is often found in meadows, grasslands and fields.
