What is it and who is it aimed at?
…is for that relatively mild disappointment we sometimes feel when things go wrong, e.g. when we miss a bus, fail an exam, or miss an opportunity and this holds us back.
Often the feeling disappears on its own, but the remedy can be used to deal with it earlier so that we are able to do things the way we want instead of simply hoping they will happen by themselves.
Gentian is often confused with Gorse, which is also a remedy to help you feel better and less discouraged when things go wrong. The difference lies in the degree of difficulty in coping with circumstances and in the person’s attitude.
People in a Gorse state decide to give up. They refuse to take initiative and even if they do look for a solution, they will do so reluctantly, assuring everyone that there is no point in trying. People in a Gentian state are less pessimistic and more willing to try again.
Dr. Bach’s description
Those who are easily discouraged. They may be doing well in illness or in the affairs of their daily life, but any small delay or obstacle in their progress causes doubt and soon discourages them.
How do we drink it?
Add (2) drops to a beverage of your choice and drink regularly or (2) drops directly onto the tongue. For a combination of multiple remedies, add 2 drops of each essence © (max 7 remedies) to a mixing bottle with a little water and take 4 drops (4) times daily.
