TINCTURE FROM A COMBINATION OF HERBAL EXTRACTS BASED ON CARDAMOM

CHARACTERISTICS OF CARDAMOM - ELETTARIA CARDAMOMUM
Elettaria cardamomum is also called green cardamom. It is native to India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Vietnam and other Asian countries. This plant is a member of the ginger family (Zingiberaceae) and can grow to about 2–4 meters in height and 1.5–3 meters in width. The flowering of the plant appears in April – May and the flower completes its cycle when the fruit has fully developed.
Cardamom is cultivated for its green fruit, inside which a total of 10–20 black seeds develop in a shape similar to a turtle shell!! These seeds are often used as a spice for their sweet taste and wonderful aroma, while the fresh leaves are eaten as a herb in salads.
HISTORY
Cardamom has been cultivated for over 1,000 years and has been loved by many peoples throughout human history. In antiquity, the peoples of India, apart from its culinary use, used it to treat melancholy and improve digestion.
At the same time, they consumed the seeds in cooking and coffee. To this day it is an important ingredient in Indian cuisine and is what gives the characteristic taste and aroma to confectionery, many dishes and drinks such as masala chai.
Later, the seed travelled from India to ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece, where it was used for its medicinal properties and as a culinary flavoring.
Today cardamom is valued in pharmacopoeia, as it is an important ingredient in phytotherapeutic formulas, tinctures and dietary supplements aimed at managing mild depression, indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome and menopausal hot flashes.
PROPERTIES – BENEFITS
- Antidepressant. The aromatic compounds it contains increase serotonin and make it one of the most powerful antidepressant spices. It is often combined with other herbs and spices to enhance good mood and positive thinking.
- Antispasmodic. The antispasmodic properties of cardamom make consumption of the tincture ideal in cases of spastic colitis and provide substantial relief from abdominal pain associated with irritable bowel syndrome.
AYURVEDA
Cardamom is used in Ayurvedic medicine to strengthen the digestive fire, eliminate undigested food and facilitate the movement of air (vata) in the body while at the same time reducing excess heat in the blood. The properties attributed to cardamom in Ayurveda are:
Antidepressant, minimizes menopausal hot flashes and stabilizes positive mood, antacid, as it nourishes the mucous membranes.
COMPOSITION:
Alcohol (in variable ratios 50%–90%), cardamom fruit. Drinkable, natural extract from mother tincture (D1).
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF ELETTARIA CARDAMOMUM
1.8–cineole, α-terpinyl acetate, flavonoids, essential oils, terpenoids, myrcene, limonene, nerolidol, carotenoids, aromatic compounds.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- 30 drops diluted in 1/2 glass of water.
- Once a day for a specific period according to the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
- 20' before food
