Mercurialis annua is a plant belonging to the Euphorbiaceae family. It is an annual plant with characteristic green leaves and small flowers, which grows in moist environments. Traditionally it is used in folk medicine mainly for its laxative and diuretic properties. However, it is a poisonous plant and its use requires great caution.

- Do not exceed the recommended dosage, as it may cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, diarrhea).
- Use with caution in people with severe liver or kidney disease.
