Abies Pectinata (Silver Fir) tincture is prepared from the shoots, needles or resin of the tree and is used mainly for respiratory problems, musculoskeletal conditions and to strengthen the immune system. Pharmacological Actions and Properties
1. Expectorant and mucolytic
- Contributes to the breakdown of mucus and decongestion of the respiratory system, relieving cough and bronchitis.
2. Anti-inflammatory and antiseptic
- It is used to reduce inflammation in the airways and to treat mild infections.
3. Muscle relaxant and analgesic
- Relieves muscular and rheumatic pain with topical use.
4. Immune tonic
- It stimulates the immune system and is indicated in cases of weakened body defenses.
Indications for Use:
- Bronchitis, asthma and sinusitis
- Cold and flu with cough and congestion
- Rheumatism and arthritis
- Weak immune system and frequent infections
- Topical use for skin wounds or irritations
Directions for Use:
10-20 drops in a little water or herbal tea, 1-2 times a day.
Precautions and Side Effects:
- Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding without consulting a doctor.
- People with asthma or allergies to essential oils should use it with caution.
- Possible side effects: Skin irritation in sensitive individuals or gastrointestinal discomfort in large doses.
- Avoid use in children under 6 years of age without specialist advice.
