OR Lobelia inflata, also known as Indian tobacco, is an annual or biennial plant of the Campanulaceae family. It reaches a height of 30-90 cm and has thin, branched stems with small, toothed leaves. Its flowers are small, blue-violet, and form clusters. It grows in rocky soils and sunny locations mainly in North America.

Pharmacological properties and actions
- Antispasmodic action: Useful for relaxing muscles and relieving cramps.

- Stimulant effect: In small doses it can stimulate the respiratory system.
Indications for use
- Respiratory disorders (bronchitis, asthma)
- Productive cough
- Relaxation of muscle spasms
- Help in quitting smoking
How to use
10-20 drops, dissolved in water or decoction, 1-2 times a day.
Precautions and side effects
- In overdose it can cause nausea, vomiting and headache.
- Not recommended for pregnant women, nursing mothers and children.
- Avoid by people with heart problems.
- Drug interactions: Consult your doctor before use.
