Gorse represents a stronger kind of despair than the Gentian condition, because people deliberately refuse to be encouraged. They are so sure that their case is hopeless. If they are sick, they may consider themselves incurable and that nothing can be done.
However, Dr. Bach listed Gorse as a remedy for uncertainty rather than despair along with Sweet Chestnut. This suggests that the main problem with Gorse people is a loss of faith. If we can be persuaded to see things differently, there is usually a way forward.
Description of Dr. Bach
In great despair, they have given up on the belief that the situation they are facing can be improved. To please others, they may try different treatments, while assuring those around them that there is little hope of relief.
How do we drink it?
Add (2) drops to a beverage of your choice and drink regularly or (2) drops directly onto the tongue. For a combination of multiple remedies, add 2 drops of each essence © (max 7 remedies) to a mixing bottle with a little water and take 4 drops (4) times daily.
