Lupinus spp. (Lupine) belongs to the Fabaceae family. It is a herbaceous plant or small shrub with characteristically palmate leaves. It mainly grows in regions with mild climates and well-drained soils. It is widely used for cultivation as animal feed, a soil improver, and in some cases for its medicinal properties.
