Once upon a time… like in fairy tales. The story of Avgerinos Cosmetics begins like this…
Koropi, early 50s.
THE 15-year-old Nikos sets up a small "laboratory" in a corner of the Avgerinos family's house where he spends endless hours. He frantically experiments with all kinds of substances and makes creams and products for the entire neighborhood.

Nikos Avgerinos did not ultimately become a chemist, but he channeled his passion into a new field of action. In 1964, he created the first official laboratory in Koropi for the production of herbal cosmetics with a license from the Ministry of Industry and approval from the Greek National Organization for the Promotion of Pharmaceutical Products. In the meantime, he took entrance exams, passed the Athens School of Pharmacy, and for the following years, earned his pocket money by selling creams that he made in his laboratory to acquaintances, friends, and fellow students.

Now a pharmacist, Nikos Avgerinos opens a Pharmacy in Koropi where he also incorporates his laboratory, and continues with the same passion to study, to seek raw materials from nature and, with his pharmaceutical experience as an ally, to prepare innovative galenic compositions, medicines, herbal cosmetics and homeopathic preparations.
There, in June 1979, Fucus, the famous cream for burns, was born, due to a carelessness. Christina, his young daughter, suffered a serious burn and he set about urgently making something to relieve her. He chose beeswax, balsam oil, extracts of plant and marine origin and within just two days, Fucus - from the Fucus Vesicolosus algae it contains - was ready! Its composition proved miraculous, it healed the skin that had suffered a burn and contributed to its faster regeneration and thus quickly became the best seller of his pharmacy. A success that has lasted to this day. Year after year, he gained the trust of his customers, who came of their own accord to consult him, appreciating his knowledge and the work he does on herbal and homeopathic preparations. The reputation that the products of N. Pharmacy Avgerinos is herbal and effective, increasing demand, with orders arriving from all over Greece and abroad.

A passion that finds continuity, a vision that becomes reality.

But now he is not alone in the laboratory. He has his children, Christina and Thodoris, by his side, while his wife Fotini also offers great help. Christina, also imbued with the same passion for natural cosmetics, sometimes helps in their preparation by conducting her own experiments, and sometimes she gets behind the pharmacy counter and takes on their promotion.
In 2000, with her Pharmacist degree in hand, Christina Avgerinou officially began making her own soaps and body creams and slowly, with boldness and determination, laid the foundations for her personal business vision: To create a new generation of "sexy chic" and at the same time natural cosmetics. Products with delicious scents and attractive packaging, which will appeal to their loyal clientele but also to a younger audience. Innovative formulas, always enriched with natural ingredients that will offer not only visible results, but also a complete care and enjoyment experience. A true beauty ritual.
Christina's vision came to fruition in October 2013 with the founding of Avgerinos Cosmetics and the first presentation of the eponymous line of face, body, and bath care products, as well as a unique line of fragrances.Thanks to her expertise as a Pharmacist and the many years of experience of her laboratories, natural ingredients are transformed into high-quality and highly effective cosmetic formulas that stimulate the senses and ensure moments of pleasure and well-being.
After two years of promoting products through wholesale, the next step is taken and in early 2015 the first retail store is inaugurated in Chalandri. In the same year The company's e-shop also "opens", allowing women and men from all over Greece and later from abroad to discover the wide range of Avgerinos Cosmetics products. Two new flagship retail stores are added to the chain in 2018, in Melissia and in Kifissia, while in June 2020, the center of Athens welcomes the fourth Avgerinos Cosmetics store, in Syntagma. At the same time, the Avgerinos Pharmacy e-shop opens, hosting all of the company's therapeutic products with the aim of developing and maintaining the legacy of mild and natural formulations for the relief of local and systemic diseases.

Today, Avgerinos Cosmetics has developed a wide network of collaborating stores and beauty institutes throughout Greece and abroad - its products are promoted in Spain, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy and Belgium - while it participates in major cosmetics and beauty exhibitions in Greece and Italy.
