PHYTOLACCA AMERICANA CHARACTERISTICS
Phytolacca is a shrub of the Phytolaccaceae family that grows freely in the Greek flora, in America, Asia and New Zealand. We will also encounter it, under the name macrostaphyllo, pokeberry. There are about 35 different species of phytolacca such as phytolacca acinosa, phytolacca. australis, phytolacca. dioica.
It grows in moist places, such as on the banks of rivers and near lakes. The final height of the plant can reach up to 3 meters and bears small white and pink flowers in clusters, which develop into impressive fruits with a shiny black and red color!!
The leaves of the plant grow singly and alternately with pointed tips and an unpleasant odor. All parts of the plant are toxic. On the contrary, with the appropriate preparation of the tincture or homeopathic medicine it has a significant therapeutic effect without the side effects of the fresh fruit.
HISTORY
The grated root of the plant was first used by the American Indians in poultices for boils and inflammations, while the pigment contained in the fruits was used to dye clothes. To this day, the pigment from the fruits is used in the food industry.
The use of polylac dates back 2,000 years in China, where it is believed to purify water from harmful substances. It is also mentioned in Shen Nong's Herbal Classic and is commonly recommended for the treatment of edema.

It is also considered to have anti-cancer properties.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- 5 drops diluted in 1/2 glass of water
- 1-2 times a day for a specific period of time or as directed by the doctor or pharmacist.
