CHARACTERISTICS OF CYNARA SCOLYMUS
The plant Cynara scolymus is the well-known artichoke plant, native to the Mediterranean.
The artichoke is a perennial plant belonging to the Asteraceae family which includes 140 different artichoke species. The plant can reach a height of up to 2 meters. It consists of vertical, thick stems which produce flower heads that are cut in February. The wild artichoke bears large and thick thorns on the ends of the fruit.
The artichoke plant has a long growth period and is a hardy plant, without special requirements. This allows it to be easily grown in the garden or in a pot on the balcony. It is easily propagated by offshoots, by seed or by rhizomes.
HISTORY
According to Greek mythology, the artichoke was created when Zeus fell in love with the mortal Cynara, who he made into a goddess in order to stay with him. One day, however, Cynara wanted to visit her home secretly from Zeus, and when he found out, he got angry and transformed her into the plant we know today.
The use of artichokes ceased during the Middle Ages, during which they were mostly consumed only by the aristocracy.
Today, artichoke is used in the preparation of dietary supplements and tinctures intended, among other things, to improve liver function and reduce cholesterol.
It has become a symbol of prosperity, hope and peace.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- 30 drops diluted in 1/2 glass of water.
- 1-2 times a day for a specific period of time or as directed by the doctor or pharmacist.
